Notice for BHIDAPA-EAPTI Graduates and ECP Holders

Updated EAP Documentation for ECP, CPD and Re-Registration

Dear Colleagues,

BHIDAPA-EAPTI Academy of Psychotherapy would like to inform its graduates, ECP holders, and colleagues preparing their first ECP application that the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) has provided EAPTI institutes with an updated version of the Practitioner Registration Form for the European Certificate of Psychotherapy (PRF), July 2026.

The updated PRF includes revised data protection provisions, as well as an Appendix for Re-Registration, which sets out the requirements for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in the context of ECP re-registration.

Under the current EAP requirements, ECP re-registration requires evidence of at least 150 hours of CPD activities over a three-year period, across at least three prescribed categories, with a maximum of 50 hours recognised within any single category.

For New ECP Applications

Graduates of the relevant EAPTI-accredited programmes at BHIDAPA Academy who meet the prescribed criteria may apply for the ECP through the EAPTI Direct Award procedure.

For new applications, candidates should use the current version of the PRF and the applicable EAP Direct Award forms.

For ECP Holders

We would like to remind ECP holders that each individual is responsible for continuously monitoring and documenting their CPD activities and for fulfilling their re-registration requirements within the applicable timeframe and in accordance with the current EAP rules.

BHIDAPA-EAPTI continues to provide its graduates with information and support within the scope of its responsibilities and to maintain institutional records of the continuing professional development of its graduates.

All relevant information, forms and EAP documents are available on our dedicated page: ECP, CPD and Re-Registration
