Nataša Mrduljaš-Đujić, MD, PhD was born in 1964 in Belgrade. She enrolled at the Faculty of Medicine in Split in 1981 and graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb in 1987. Following the completion of her internship and the national licensing examination in Split in 1988, she began working as a general practitioner at the Health Centre in Supetar on the island of Brač. Since 1990, she has been practicing in Postira, initially within the public health system, later through a private practice lease arrangement, and subsequently under a healthcare concession.

At the end of 2003, she commenced a three-year specialization in Family Medicine and successfully passed the specialist examination in February 2007.

Her principal professional interests include medical education, psychiatry and psychotherapy, sexology, the doctor–patient relationship, and communication in family medicine.

In 1987, she enrolled in a postgraduate programme in General Clinical Pathophysiology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka. In 1996, she obtained her Master’s degree with a thesis entitled “Certain Characteristics of Depression in Patients with Breast Cancer.” In March 2014, she defended her doctoral dissertation, “The Use of Patient Letters as a Method in Medical Student Education,” and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Science (PhD).

Since 1999, she has served as an external associate of the Department of Family Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Split. In 2002, she was appointed as a Junior Teaching Assistant, in 2018 as a Research Associate, and in October 2019 as Assistant Professor at the Department of Family Medicine. She teaches Family Medicine, conducts seminars and practical classes, and has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate theses in Family Medicine. Since 2018, she has also been involved in teaching within the postgraduate specialist programme in Family Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb.

Dr. Mrduljaš-Đujić has completed advanced training in group psychotherapy, individual psychoanalytic psychotherapy, and sex therapy.

Between 2005 and 2008, she actively participated in the international Training of Teachers in General/Family Practice courses in Dubrovnik. From 2014 to 2018, she attended the International Summer School of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in Dubrovnik and, in 2018 and 2019, the international EURACT Bled Course for teachers in family medicine.

She is a frequent lecturer at national and international conferences and congresses. She has contributed to the translation of professional educational materials, authored several textbook chapters in family medicine, and served as editor of the book Fundamentals of Sexual Medicine.

Dr. Mrduljaš-Đujić has published numerous professional and scientific papers and remains actively engaged in the work of professional and scientific associations.
