Alma Mulić, MD, Specialist in Neuropsychiatry

Gestal Psychotherapist and Sexual Psychotherapist in training

Alma Mulić is a Medical Doctor, specialist in neuropsychiatry, and a Gestalt psychotherapist with extensive clinical experience in the fields of mental health, neurology, and psychiatry.

She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sarajevo, in 2006. She completed her specialization in neuropsychiatry in 2014 at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, following three years of training at the Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry of the Cantonal Hospital Zenica.

She currently serves as Head of the Unit for the Treatment of Male Psychiatric Patients at the Department of Psychiatry, Cantonal Hospital Zenica. Previously, she worked as a psychiatrist at the same institution and at the Community Mental Health Center within the Health Center Žepče, where she also held the position of Head of the Center, conducting both psychiatric and neurological examinations. She began her medical career as a general practitioner at the Health Center Žepče.

She completed her training in Gestalt psychotherapy at EAPTI Psiho-Integrum Sarajevo (2025) and is currently enrolled in a postgraduate programme in Specialized Knowledge in Sexual Health, Therapy and Counselling at BHIDAPA – EAPTI Academy for psychotherapy in Sarajevo (since 2025).

Her additional professional development includes training in family medicine, psychosocial approaches to working with witnesses and victims, healthcare quality improvement, stress management, mental health and resilience of healthcare professionals, treatment of perpetrators of gender-based violence, and a 60-hour course in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is also a certified First Aid Instructor with the Red Cross of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In her professional practice, she integrates medical and psychotherapeutic approaches, emphasizing comprehensive mental health care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and individualized patient treatment. Her work is characterized by professionalism, responsibility, and dedication to improving the quality of psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care.
