MA Katarina Jaranović

Systemic family psychotherapist and Sexual Psychotherapist in training

Katarina Jaranović holds a Master’s degree in Special Education, she is a certified systemic family psychotherapist, and a sexual therapist in training. She completed her Master’s studies at the Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation, University of Belgrade, where she researched religious and paranormal beliefs as specific stress coping mechanisms in persons with mild intellectual disabilities and persons living with AIDS.
She completed her education in Systemic Family Psychotherapy in 2021 at the Institute of Mental Health in Belgrade. She holds both the European Certificate of Psychotherapy (ECP/EAP) and the National Certificate for Psychotherapy (NSP). In 2023, she completed the externship in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT) at the EFT Center Serbia. Currently, she is attending Specialist Studies in Sexual Health, Therapy, and Counseling at the BHIDAPA Academy. Katarina conducts her psychotherapeutic work in private practice at the MKM Center, where she facilitates support groups and provides individual, couple, and family therapy, both in- person and via online platforms.
She is the author and facilitator of the psychotherapy support group “Mother and I”, launched in 2024, which explores the relationship with the mother and its effects on emotional development. Additionally, she is the co-author and facilitator of the project “Therapists for Therapists”, focused on reflective practice and the exploration of therapeutic beliefs. She has been a member of the Union of Associations of Psychotherapists of Serbia (SDPS) since 2022, and of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) since 2024.
