Module Description:
This module empowers participants to understand and apply research approaches in psychotherapist education, as well as to develop innovative teaching methods.
The aim of the module is to encourage critical thinking, evaluation of educational practice, and the introduction of evidence-based innovations. Special focus is placed on integrating research with teaching practice and the continuous improvement of education quality.
The module includes:
- Fundamentals of qualitative and quantitative research methods in education.
- Evaluation research and analysis of educational needs.
- Approaches to innovation in psychotherapy education.
- Application of research findings in the planning and delivery of education.
- Development of a proposal for a small research project or educational innovation.
Learning Outcomes
Competencies:
By the end of the module, participants will be able to:
a) Critically analyse and apply research findings in education.
b) Design and evaluate innovative educational approaches.
c) Develop and present a small research project related to education.
Knowledge:
By the end of the module, participants will have developed:
a) The ability to formulate a research question and design a small-scale research study.
b) Skills in using relevant literature and interpreting research results.
c) The capacity for innovative thinking and applying research findings in practice.
Skills:
By the end of the module, participants will have developed:
a) The ability to structure teaching content and plan learning.
b) Skills in facilitating theoretical and experiential segments of teaching.
c) The capacity to adapt teaching methods to the individual needs of trainees.
Assessment of Knowledge and Competencies:
The module is assessed through:
- Written proposal for a small research project or educational innovation.
- Presentation and discussion of the proposal with colleagues and the mentor.
- Reflection on the application of research in one’s own educational work.
