The European-accredited specialisation programme in the field of supervision in Bosnia and Herzegovina is organised in cooperation with IPSA – Institute for Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling, Ljubljana, and EUROCPS – European Centre for Psychotherapeutic Studies – UK.
About the programme
This specialisation programme is based on the previous experience and programmes delivered for more than 24 years by the late Prof. Ken Evans (Maslow Award for contributions to psychotherapy, 2015). The programme is founded on the integrative relational approach to psychotherapeutic supervision (Gilbert & Evans, 2008).
Program structure
- two five-day modules (a total of 10 days)
- 50 hours of supervision with a supervisor
- 30 hours of supervision of supervision
Module content
- Overview of the field, definition, and functions of supervision
- Models of supervision

A three-month period between the two modules is intentionally built into the programme. This period allows students to reflect on the theoretical insights gained so far, read the relevant literature, and create a mini case study or essay. During the second module, each student will also prepare a short presentation on the importance of supervision. Both modules combine theoretical and experiential work.
Important requirements during the three-month period between the two modules
- Record a transcript of supervision sessions with comments,
- 50 hours of supervision with a supervisor, and
- 30 hours of supervision of supervision.
Upon fulfilling all the requirements, candidates will be awarded a Diploma in Supervision from the European Centre for Psychotherapeutic Studies and the Institute for Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling, Ljubljana.
The programme is recommended for qualified and experienced psychotherapists, typically four years after obtaining their initial qualification.
It is also open to experienced therapeutic counsellors who, upon meeting the requirements, will be awarded a Diploma in Counselling Supervision.
