dr. Vesna Petrović is a professor of psychology at Union University in Belgrade, Serbia. Since 2014, she is the president and trainer of the Serbian Association for Integrative Psychotherapy (SUIP). She received her doctorate in 1999 at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Psychology. He teaches basic and postgraduate studies in the field of psychology and psychotherapy.
Dr. Vesna Petrović’s research is focused on mental health problems, trauma in children and psychotherapy. He is the author and co-author of more than 100 scientific publications and several books, including “Mental trauma and recovery in children” (Čigoja, 2004) and “Mental health and well-being – a new framework for mental health” (USEE, 2012).
Since 2001, he holds the European Certificate in Psychotherapy (ECP), is a national delegate of the Union of Psychotherapy Associations of Serbia to the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP), is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Psychotherapy, as well as a member of the editorial board of the European Journal of Qualitative Research in Psychotherapy. The Serbian Association for Integrative Psychotherapy (SUIP) is a full member of the European Association for Integrative Psychotherapy (EAIP).
