In 2003, she defended her doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka with the topic “Stress coping styles in the middle phase of adolescence in high school”.
Founder and head of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of the Clinic for Psychiatry, KBC Rijeka since 1998. Associate professor at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychological Medicine, Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka and Faculty of Health Studies in Rijeka (undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate studies). Lecturer at the postgraduate study of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb. Educator in the European programs for integrative psychotherapy of children and youth in Zagreb (Croatian Interdisciplinary Therapy Association for Children and Youth HITUDIM), Zadar (at the Center for Psychotherapy, Education and Counseling Psihika) and Sarajevo (Association for Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy of Bosnia and Herzegovina – BHIDAPA). Member of the editorial board of the scientific and professional journal Psychotherapy in Achieving Health and Well-being for Childfen and Young People. Member of several professional associations in the country and abroad.
Author of numerous scientific and professional articles, co-author of textbooks for students in the field of psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. Currently employed at the MEDICO Special Hospital in Rijeka. Areas of interest: child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy; psychodrama as a therapeutic technique. Specific areas of interest: identity development and identity pathology, depressive disorders in children and adolescents, eating disorders, stress and trauma-related disorders in children and adolescents, family and child/adolescent with psychological/developmental difficulties.
