Doc. dr. Bruna Profaca is a clinical psychologist who has worked with children, young people and their families throughout her working life. At the Polyclinic for the Protection of Children and Young People of the City of Zagreb, where she has been since its establishment, she has also held the position of Head of Diagnostics and Treatment for fifteen years. She holds a PhD in the scientific field of social sciences, the scientific field of psychology (clinical and health psychology). In addition to psychodiagnostic, treatment and counselling clinical work, the focus of her professional and research interests are stress, trauma, crises and losses in childhood, adolescence and adulthood, emotional, behavioural and developmental difficulties of children and young people during their upbringing, and parenting and parental stress, especially in risky circumstances. She participates in teaching and mentoring work at several faculties of the University of Zagreb. She continuously participates in the education of experts in various systems working with children and families. She has published a number of scientific and professional papers, book chapters and has presented at numerous professional and scientific conferences in Croatia and other countries.
