3 ECVET/ECTS / EQF level 7 / 2nd and 3rd year of study – IP
Module Description:
This module explores the impact of early developmental trauma and transgenerational trauma on the emotional, cognitive, and neurobiological development of the individual. It studies key factors that shape attachment patterns, interpersonal relationships, and capacities for self-regulation. The focus is on recognizing and treating trauma through an integrative approach that includes psychoanalytic, Gestalt, neuroscientific, body-oriented, and systemic methods.
The module includes:
- Developmental Trauma – the impact of early experiences of neglect, insecure attachment, and adverse life circumstances on later psychological development.
- Transgenerational Trauma – mechanisms of transmitting traumatic experiences across generations, including epigenetic, emotional, and narrative pathways.
- Neurobiological Foundations of Trauma – the role of the autonomic nervous system, affect regulation, and neuroplasticity in healing processes.
- Therapeutic Interventions – approaches focused on stabilization, corrective emotional experiences, work with bodily symptoms, and client resources.
- Integration of Therapeutic Methods – combining psychodynamic, somatic, expressive, and systemic approaches in trauma treatment.
- Resilience and Post-Traumatic Growth – factors that contribute to recovery and strengthening psychological resilience after trauma.
