Strategic Meeting Held at the BHIDAPA Academy for Psychotherapy: Advancing Education and Professional Standards

At the BHIDAPA Academy for Psychotherapy, a strategic planning meeting was successfully held on March 28, 2026, focused on the further development of educational programmes and the strengthening of institutional capacities. The meeting was led by Prof. Dr. Sc. Mirjana Mavrak, Coordinator for the Quality of Educational Programmes. During the meeting, key directions for the Academy’s development were defined, with a particular focus on aligning programmes with European standards (EAP/EAPTI), enhancing the quality of education, advancing the research component, and ensuring the systematic development of competencies through both educational and post-educational processes, in line with contemporary professional and ethical requirements of psychotherapeutic practice.

“A particular emphasis was placed on the development of CPPD (Continuing Professional and Personal Development) programmes, as we believe that the continuous professional and personal development of psychotherapists is essential for ensuring high-quality and responsible practice, in line with EAP standards,” stated the founder and director of BHIDAPA, Dr. Sc. Mirela Badurina.

Opportunities for further academic accreditation were also explored, including the long-term development of MA and PhD programmes, as well as the strengthening of international partnerships and nominations to various European and global committees.

The meeting was conducted in a constructive and committed atmosphere, with a shared vision of creating a supportive and interdisciplinary environment for high-quality professional development and the advancement of mental health for children, youth, families, individuals, and communities.
