Practitioner Research Forums are bi-monthly evening online sessions (Wednesdays, 17:00–19:30 UK time) led by EIATSCYP.
The scheduled dates are: 19 November, 21 January, 18 March, 20 May and 15 July.
This EIATSCYP initiative brings together practitioners, therapists, and all those working with children, young people, families, and communities, with the aim of learning together how to provide better support in an increasingly complex world.
The aims of these forums are to:
- build a community and develop the Practitioner Research Network (PRN) within EIATSCYP
- address research ethics in therapeutic work with children and young people
- deepen understanding of different worldviews and relational paradigms in research practice
- make qualitative and quantitative research methods more accessible to practitioners
- generate research evidence within therapeutic approaches to practice
- emphasise the importance of practice-based evidence, not only academic evidence
- strengthen critical reflection, analysis, and evaluation of outcomes in therapeutic work.
The forums are open to all levels of experience – both to those who are just beginning to engage with research and to those already leading more complex projects. The sessions are facilitated by Naomi Moore, Research Lead at EIATSCYP.
We invite you to be part of this growing initiative, which strengthens practitioner competence and contributes to greater access, quality, and standards of support in the field of child and adolescent mental health.
