On Friday, September 5, 2025, we had the honor of attending the defense of the doctoral dissertation of our colleague Dr. Lejla Mustoo Başer at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS).
This remarkable achievement serves as a shared inspiration for all of us to continue strengthening and advancing psychotherapy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region.
The research of Dr. Lejla Mustoo Başer provides a valuable contribution to the psychotherapy community, reaffirming the importance of psychotherapy as both a scientific and professional discipline.
It is particularly inspiring to witness the level of dedication, knowledge, and creativity she demonstrates in applying the SNS program – an application for monitoring the psychotherapeutic process and psychological instruments – thereby opening new pathways for the development and scientific foundation of Integrative Psychotherapy.
As a final-year student of Integrative Psychotherapy at BHIDAPA, through her work with our esteemed professors Prof. Dr. Gunter and Prof. Dr. Žvelc, Lejla found inspiration for her research journey – one that has been brilliantly crowned with the successful defense of her dissertation.
