The Academy of Psychotherapy, launched by BHIDAPA – European Accredited Psychotherapy Training Institute, offers four-year, two-year, and one-year educational programmes, short specialised training courses, personal therapy, supervision, and tailor-made education, all essential for obtaining professional qualifications in the field of integrative psychotherapy and related disciplines. We are focused on the education and professional development of experts who work (or will work) with children, young people, adults, and families.
The programs are based on the highest evidence-based and science-based principles, with the aim of achieving greater professionalism in therapeutic work at all levels – from prenatal development to adulthood. All educational programs implemented meet the high standards of European accreditation bodies such as EAP, EAIP, and EIATSCYP.

Postgraduate educational program in Integrative Psychotherapy for Children and Adolescents
EQF Level 7
Duration: 4.5 years (9 semesters) / 3600 hours / ECVET/ECTS 120
Target Group
The Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy for Children and Adolescents is intended for those who wish to become Integrative Psychotherapists for children and adolescents and provide integrative psychotherapy in working with children, adolescents, and their parents. In order to successfully complete this educational program, the student must acquire professional and academic knowledge and skills, with a special emphasis on clinical skills, professional competencies, personal development, supervision, the capacity for multidisciplinary and intersectoral collaboration, while meeting the criteria for good clinical practice that ensures a high level of education as well as research. The student must be able to understand the developmental stages of children and adolescents, family dynamics, and be motivated to help, understand, and therapeutically intervene to reduce psychological difficulties, as well as support the child, adolescent, and family towards growth, development, and overall mental health and well-being, in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child, child protection protocols, and legal provisions.
Conditions for Enrollment
Candidates eligible for enrollment in the psychotherapy training program must hold a diploma from an academic study (humanities, medical, or social sciences faculties) with a minimum of 240 ECTS credits. Required documents include the latest academic diploma, an online application form for the educational program, a curriculum vitae, a motivational letter, and an entrance interview with the educational board.
If the candidate meets the aforementioned criteria, they will fulfill the conditions for enrollment in the educational program by submitting the online membership form, signing the contract, and the registration form.
Students are enrolled in the student registry, the official register, receive the education plan and program, an index, an access code for the electronic library, as well as forms and protocols.
Learning outcomes: consist of the integration of knowledge, skills, and competencies (contact hours, self-learning hours, and assessments – 3600 hours // ECVET/ECTS 120 credits).
Title: Integrative Psychotherapist for Children and Adolescents.
Note: If a participant does not meet the conditions from the above-mentioned requirements for admission to the training, but holds a completed university degree in another field, they must also have completed a psychotherapy propedeutics course.
Postgraduate educational program in Integrative Psychotherapy

Target Group
The Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy is intended for those who wish to become integrative psychotherapists and practice integrative psychotherapy with clients, families, couples, and groups. Integrative psychotherapy is based on the integration of modern psychoanalytic psychotherapy (object relations, personality psychology, intersubjective approach), transactional analysis, gestalt therapy, client-centered therapy, and other theories, especially developmental, neurological, and psychological theories, as well as neuroscience. Integrative psychotherapy involves integrating various psychotherapeutic approaches. Each of these approaches allows a partial interpretation of behavior and is considered a valuable hypothesis for human action. To successfully complete this program, the student must acquire knowledge and understanding of problems, skills in applying interventions, and competencies necessary for psychotherapy practice. The student should be able to understand clients and be motivated to help them, promote flexibility and multidisciplinarity in their approach to problems, and be aware of the intersubjective co-created therapeutic space.

Training for Educators/Trainers in Integrative Psychotherapy (Training of Trainers – ToT)
EQF Level 7
Duration: 2 years (4 semesters) / 350 hours / ECVET/ECTS 12
Target Group
The program is intended for experienced psychotherapists who wish to develop trainer/educator competencies in the field of integrative psychotherapy. It is particularly intended for those who are interested in:
- teaching in psychotherapy training programs,
- facilitating trainees’ learning and development,
- providing supervisory and mentoring support,
- contribute to the quality and sustainability of the psychotherapy profession.
Admission Requirements
Eligibility to enroll in the Trainer Education Program is granted to candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Completed EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME in psychotherapy, with a minimum duration of four years, accredited in accordance with European standards (e.g., EAPTI, EAIP, ECP).
- Accreditation or registration obtained in accordance with applicable national and European regulations (e.g., an ECP certificate or an equivalent national/European license).
- At least three years of post-qualification clinical experience in psychotherapy practice, with a documented minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised clinical practice working with individual and/or group clients, under the guidance of an accredited supervisor, with clearly defined CPD hours.
- Proven ethical and professional reputation, adherence to ethics in the role of psychotherapist and/or supervisor, in accordance with the Ethical Requirements of BHIDAPA and SPUuBiH, in line with EAP, along with an attached statement from the supervisor and/or recommendation from the relevant academic and/or professional body.
- A high level of personal maturity and emotional intelligence, with motivation for work in education, supervision, and mentoring roles.
- Willingness to actively participate in all segments of the educational programmes, including practical work, self-evaluation, teamwork, and continuous professional and personal development.
