Supervision of Clinical/Psychotherapeutic Practice

Module Description:

Supervision of clinical and psychotherapy practice is a key component of the training, providing participants with structured support in developing professional competences, reflecting on their own work, and receiving feedback from experienced supervisors. The module focuses on analysing clinical cases, process management of psychotherapy, understanding transference and countertransference (projective identification, parallel processes), and integrating supervisory guidance into therapeutic work.

The module includes:

  • Group and individual supervision – reflecting on therapeutic practice through guided discussions and case analyses.
  • Supervised analysis of transference and countertransference – increasing awareness of therapeutic reactions and their impact on the therapeutic process.
  • Development of the therapist’s professional identity – working on personal safety, authenticity, and ethical dilemmas.
  • Systemic approach to supervision – integrating and understanding the influence of systems on the course of the therapeutic process (family, school, society, cultural and political environment).
  • Structuring therapeutic interventions – adapting working methods to the client’s needs through the supervisory process.
  • Supervisory analysis of complex clinical cases – considering diagnostic and therapeutic challenges.
  • Ethics and professional boundaries – recognising professional challenges and responding responsibly within the therapeutic relationship.
