Defence of the Final Thesis

Module Description:

The final thesis and defence represent the culmination of the educational process, enabling participants to demonstrate theoretical, research, and clinical knowledge through an integrative approach to psychotherapy with children and adolescents. Participants prepare a detailed case study, including theoretical concepts, applied diagnostic methods, development of the therapeutic process, and key turning points in therapy. The final presentation includes a video recording of a therapy session highlighting critical moments in the psychotherapeutic process, ensuring a practical demonstration of therapeutic competencies.

The module includes:

  • Writing a Final Thesis (case study) – a structured case study with the integration of theoretical and clinical findings.
  • Research Aspect of the Thesis – analysis of relevant literature and application of research methods in clinical psychotherapeutic practice.
  • Therapeutic Process and Progress Evaluation – analysis of key changes in the client through therapeutic work.
  • Video Analysis of a Therapy Session – identification and reflection on the key turning point in the therapeutic process.
  • Ethical and Professional Reflection – awareness of boundaries, challenges, and ethical aspects of working with children and adolescents.
  • Public Defence before the Committee – presentation of the final thesis, evaluation by the mentor and committee members, and feedback

– Writing and submitting the final paper
